Preventive medicine at the forefront of the planet
A conscious, responsible approach to one's own health and that of one's loved ones, preserving and nurturing the environment on which the quality of life depends, and creating a positive psychological climate are gradually becoming a conscious way of life for modern people.
A doctor cannot treat himself.
Preventive Japanese medicine expert Erika Stankevičiūtė, who has been analyzing the Japanese philosophy of life, beauty, and health for two decades, states that the most important thing in preventive Japanese medicine is for a person to become a partner with a doctor, because only then are the best results of a healthy and happy life possible.

A series of stories about preventive medicine
Actively participating in global conferences and trainings, constantly setting herself various development challenges, Erika Stankevičiūtė presents a series of stories on the topic of Japanese preventive medicine after quarantine, briefly reviewing its main components and inviting people, taking into account the viruses that unexpectedly hit the world, mutating and potentially facing new challenges in the health sphere for humans, to learn to live preventively by nurturing their health. "A doctor cannot treat himself, preventive medicine without a person loses its meaning," said Erika Stankevičiūtė.
It is important to know your health status.
"Preventive medicine, according to the expert, should be at the forefront of the entire planet today; every person should assess their health passport, know the weaknesses of their body and adjust their lifestyle accordingly, rather than wait for illnesses when reactive medicine is already needed," Erika Stankevičiūtė shared her views on responsible healthcare, wishing everyone that aging would be just a number in their passport.
What is aging?
Erika Stankevičiūtė says that she was lucky to have had the opportunity to meet Yonei Yoshikazu, honorary member of the CEO of the Japanese "Anti-age" Association, president of the Association for the Fight against Glycemic Stress, professor of gastroenterology at Doshisha University, world-renowned lecturer, researcher, who conducts many observations, writes articles, publishes journals on aging. "What is aging? Yonei Yoshikazu evaluates human aging processes according to five systems, taking them into account, certain preventive steps can be taken - these are the circulatory, nervous, muscular, bone and hormonal systems. The compatibility of these five systems, their level of health, is very important, and this is assessed by preventive medicine, which also consists of five steps," said Erika Stankevičiūtė, an expert in Japanese preventive medicine.

What is the first step in preventive medicine?
"The first step is diagnosis. We cannot rely on any recommendations without knowing our health status. Today, according to clinical studies, it is extremely popular to have a health diagnosis if we feel certain illnesses. According to recent studies, 30 percent of people turn to their pharmacist and for some reason avoid contact with a doctor, 30 percent of people turn to a doctor, 30 percent self-diagnose themselves on social networks, and the remaining 10 percent most likely do nothing at all. Today, we can say that some people have turned away from traditional medicine, because traditional medicine cannot solve everything. A necessity arises - a tandem of preventive and traditional medicine," Erika Stankevičiūtė shared her insights.
Personalized medicine is the most important thing we can do for ourselves
"Preventive medicine was very popular until the 20th century. Later, when the concept of the collective came to the economy, medicine also became collective: common vaccinations, common diagnoses, blood tests common to all, thus facilitating the systematization of healthcare due to the rapid population growth. Currently, we are returning to the individual approach to each person. If I can share my knowledge and inspire people to consciously create their own healthy lives, I will be very happy," Erika Stankevičiūtė said, wishing to enjoy every moment and talking about the importance of preventive medicine.
