PLUS Magnetic Technology and Targeted Placement
Colantotte RESNO MAGNE Recovery Wear PLUS garments use permanent magnets arranged with alternating north and south poles. The manufacturer calls this arrangement ANSPO™. The tops incorporate 10 magnets along the inner edges of the shoulder blades, while the trousers contain 6 magnets around the sacrum. Each magnet has a specified magnetic flux density of 180 mT.
This arrangement is one of RESNO’s key design features. The manufacturer associates the magnets with improved local blood circulation and reduced muscle stiffness. In Japan, PLUS models carry medical device certification numbers. This status applies to the Japanese market and does not, by itself, establish effectiveness for sleep disorders.
Textured Fabric for a Gentle Feel
The Switch-Tex™ fabric used in PLUS garments features a distinctive raised texture. As you move or change position, its surface makes gentle contact with your skin. Scientific Research on Magnetic Garments and Sleep
RESNO magnetic garments were examined in a randomised, double-blind crossover study published in the journal Sensors in 2024. The study involved 15 well-trained male long-distance runners. After a 30 km run, participants slept wearing either garments with 180 mT magnets or control garments without magnetic effects.
When participants wore the magnetic garments, a wrist-worn device recorded a longer duration of deep sleep. Participants also reported better perceived recovery, while heart rate variability measures indicated greater parasympathetic nervous system activity. These findings are promising, but the study was small, short-term and conducted with a specific group of athletes. They do not justify promising the same effects for everyone or claiming that the garments treat insomnia.
The study used a combination of a top and long trousers with 180 mT magnets. Its findings do not directly establish the effects of wearing a DRY top with 130 mT magnets on its own.
Comfort Starts with the Right Choice
